Weststraat 3A, Oranjestad, Aruba
Phone: 297/8-20355

the '60s, '70s, and '80s; and a mike-toting emcee.
CHETA'S BAR
Paradera 119, Paradera, Aruba
Phone: 297/8-23689
In business since 1948, Cheta's Bar is a local joint that holds no more
than four customers at a time. There aren't any bar stools, either, which is why
most patrons gather out front.
IGUANA JOE'S
Royal Plaza Mall, L. G. Smith Blvd. 94, Oranjestad, Aruba
Phone: 297/8-39373
Iguana Joe's has a creative reptilian-theme decor and a color scheme
featuring such planter's-punch colors as lime and grape.
KUKOO KUNUKU
Phone: 297/8-62010
One uniquely Aruban institution is a psychedelically painted '57 Chevy
bus called the Kukoo Kunuku. Weeknights you'll find as many as 40 passengers traveling
between six bars from sundown to around midnight. The $55 fee per passenger includes
dinner, drinks, and picking you up (and pouring you off) at your hotel.
MAMBO JAMBO
Royal Plaza Mall, 2nd floor, L. G. Smith Blvd. 94, Oranjestad, Aruba
Phone: 297/8-33632
With parrots painted on the ceiling, Mambo Jambo is daubed in sunset
colors. Sip one of the special libations sold nowhere else.
PALMS BAR

85, Palm Beach, Aruba
Phone: 297/8-61234
Palm Beach
With front-row seats to view the green flash -- that ray of light that
