Anaheim Attractions and Things to See
Anaheim is one of the most famous cities in
the United States, because it is the home of the Disneyland
Resort that brings visitors from around the world to visitor
this magnificent theme park, with beautiful hotels and splendid
resorts. Angel Stadium of Anaheim has its home here, as does the
Honda Center and the Anaheim Convention Center that is the
biggest on the West Coast. It is believed to be one of the top
three cities in the country to find romance, and has many retail
complexes, historic districts, commercial district and the
Platinum Triangle that is a neo-urban redevelopment district
that encompasses the stadium. It is situated about 25 miles
south of Los Angeles and occupies about 50 square miles of
terrain. There are many roads coming here, and it is served by
two significant rail lines, the Union Pacific and the BNSF
Railway, with an excellent regional train station and service.
Naturally, the city's biggest industry now is tourism, with Walt
Disney Company being its biggest employer, with many hotels and
convention centers to bring tourists and companies here for
business and pleasure. The Canyon houses 2,600 businesses that
employ more than 50,000 people, with many corporate headquarters
stationed here. The Disneyland Resort employs over 23,000 people
itself, but the majority of those jobs are service related and
low paying. Some of the most well known companies that call
Anaheim home include; Zyxel, Anaheim Memorial Medical Center,
Yogurtland, AT & T, Tenet Healthcare, Banco Popular, Targus, CKE
Restaurants, Sunny Delight, Fisker Automotive, Panasonic,
General Dynamics, Pacific Sunwear, Kaiser Foundation, and L-3
Communications. It is however, one of the safest cities in
the nation with good schools, eight public libraries, bus and
train service, three excellent airports that include the John
Wayne, LAX and Long Beach and the new ARTIC transportation
center that includes bus and high speed rail service.
Other excellent venues includes; the Walk of Stars, Adventure
City, MUZEO, the art museum downtown, Anaheim GardenWalk that
houses 440,000 square feet of entertainment, retail and dining
opportunities, the Dad Miller Golf Course, the Anaheim
Convention Center, Anaheim Hills Golf Course, Angel Stadium of
Anaheim, American Sports Center, Disneyland Resort, Anaheim Ice,
the Grove of Anaheim and Honda Center. The city has two
professional sports teams, the Anaheim Ducks, 2007 Stanley Cup
champions and the Los Angeles Angels, World Series champions for
2002. There is an exciting flight deck air combat center that
contains a flight simulator and provides great experiences for
folks of all ages. And the Hobby City Doll and Toy museum round
out the many outstanding attractions located here, with a
variety of excellent restaurants that offer a plethora of foods
and cuisines.
